Victims Services Support Scheme

The Victims Services Support Scheme provides financial and counselling support for individuals (and sometimes secondary victims) who have been a victim of crime in New South Wales. Eligible individuals can receive 22 hours of funded counselling hours with an Approved Victims Services Counsellor. Our Principal Counsellor, Nicole, is an approved counsellor with the scheme and is specialised in working with victim/survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse and childhood trauma.

Working with The Dawn as a recipient of Victims Services Counselling

Once you, your adolescent or child have received approval for counselling, you can proceed with making a decision about which Approved Counsellor you would like to work with.

If you decide you would like to work with The Dawn, you will need to make contact with us, and provide:

  • Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Client Case Number

  • Brief details of the crime act you are receiving counselling for

You can provide this information:

  • Via phone 0410 874433 (please leave voicemail if we are unavailable, and we will get back to you ASAP)

  • Via email admin@thedawntherapeuticservices.com

  • Via contact form on the website

If there are multiple family members requiring support with approved counselling, we will discuss with you if it may also be useful for some or all of the family members to receive counselling with another Approved Counsellor. The Dawn will be able to assist with referral recommendations.
